Chromium(III) compounds: made in Germany
Mannheim-based TIB Chemicals AG has taken over the global distribution of chromium(III) salt solutions for Gefahrstoffzentrum (GSZ) Kaiserslautern GmbH.
GSZ received official authorisation to handle chromium compounds in spring 2011. Since then, the company has been manufacturing to order high-quality chromium(III) salt solutions and formulations based on them. Chromium(III) chloride solution and chromium(III) nitrate solution are already available in various industry-standard concentrations. For the year 2012 there are plans to extend the product range and enlarge production capacities.
For the electroplating division at TIB Chemicals AG, this partnership is the next step to becoming a complete supplier of inorganic basic materials for surface finishing. GSZ will benefit from the company's global network of distribution channels.

TIB Chemicals AG has acquired Koenigswarter & Ebell
The traditional chemical company Koenigswarter & Ebell is a leading manufacturer of high-grade nickel compounds and has recently been taken over by TIB Chemicals AG.
The high quality products of Koenigswarter & Ebell include amongst others, Electroplating precursors such as nickel sulphate, chloride, hydroxide carbonate, -sulfamate solution and are well established in the industry. These products represent a significant extension to the portfolio of the Metal Finishing Business Line of the TIB Chemicals AG, which earlier focused primarily on tin, copper, silver and bismuth products.
The acquisition enhances the potential of the two renowned suppliers of specialty chemicals and aims to fulfill the growing demands of customers even more efficiently.
The established business processes at the two sites, namely Mannheim and Hagen, remain unaffected by this business development. Therefore, the known contacts for all product lines will continue to offer their services as usual. We are looking forward to your next request.
