Titanates, Zirconates, Aluminates –
Our products
In the polymer industry, our titanate and zirconate catalysts play a crucial role in the production and modification of various polymers. These catalysts facilitate rapid and consistent reactions, significantly reducing production times and improving material properties. This results in the production of consistently high quality polymers that meet our customers' stringent requirements.
Our aluminate catalysts are of great importance in the coating and paint industry. They accelerate the drying and curing processes and improve the durability and longevity of the end products. This is particularly important for applications that must withstand extreme conditions, such as in the automotive and construction industries. By improving the curing and adhesion properties of coatings, our catalysts contribute to the development of long-lasting and resilient surfaces that perform excellently under demanding conditions.
Our titanate catalysts are liquid or crystallize at room temperature (semi-solid) and are formulated based on organo-titanate chelates. Titanium(IV) chelate, ethyl acetoacetate titanate.
Di(isobutoxy)bis(ethylacetoacetato)titanium(IV). They are mainly used for curing silicone, silanes and silane-terminated polymers, but are particularly used for MS/STP/STPU polymer systems as well as for curing RTV silicones. Titanate catalysts are sensitive to moisture. At higher humidity levels, hydrolysis can occur, which leads to falling flash points.
Our alkoxy titanates, titanium (IV) tetra-n-butanolate, tetra-n-butyl titanate, TNBT, tetra-n-butyl titanate, tetra isopropyl titanate (TIPT) are active, liquid catalysts based on titanium. They are mainly suitable for esterification and transesterification reactions, as well as for curing hydrolysis-condensation curing systems. The titanates are quite sensitive to moisture and must therefore be handled carefully. If the product is exposed to moisture, alcohol may be released. This reduces the flash point of the product. Our zirconium(IV) chelate, di-n-propoxybis(ethylacetoacetato)zirconium(IV), is a Zr chelate complex based formulation in n-propanol and is used as a catalyst for crosslinking polyurethanes or in the hydrolysis condensation reaction of silanes or silane-modified polymers. Whereas our zirconium octoate based catalyst zirconium 2-ethylhexanoate, zirconium octoate formulation catalyst can be used as a catalyst for crosslinking polyurethane or as a dryer in various coating systems.
Finally, our aluminum-based liquid catalyst formulations, aluminum chelate, aluminates, aluminum di(sec-butoxide)acetoacetic ester chelate, is used in the curing of silicones, silanes and silane-terminated polymers.
In addition, our catalysts support sustainable production methods. Their ability to catalyze chemical reactions at lower temperatures results in significant energy savings and reduced emissions. This meets our customers' environmental goals and promotes environmentally friendly and sustainable manufacturing processes.
