PROTEGOL® coatings – dependable long-term protection for oil and gas pipelines
PROTEGOL® two component coating systems based upon polyurethane and epoxy resin provide passive corrosion protection for many different applications in the oil and gas industry. Our core competence is the development and supply of dependable and permanent coating solutions for underground oil and gas supply lines, pipe segments and pipe elbows, moulded parts and valves.
The PROTEGOL® oil and gas portfolio comprises our solvent-free polyurethane and epoxy resin coatings, which have been tried and tested for decades and meet the standards DIN EN 10290 and DIN EN 10289 for steel pipes and moulded parts for onshore and offshore pipelines.
The products are characterised by fast curing and are very suitable for coating idle lines, e.g. during renovations. Unprofitable downtimes are minimised since the pipeline can be re-commissioned and re-buried very soon.
For the coating of welding seams, a PU-based product meeting DIN EN ISO 21809-3 has been specially developed that is also compatible with PE, PP or FBE-factory-coated pipes.
The friction-minimising PROTEGOL® Flowcoat products have been certified in accordance with the internationally recognised standards DIN EN 10311 and API RP 5L2 and are used for lining gas pipelines.
Applying the products with the airless hot spraying system makes for a fast and controlled coating of surfaces, both in the field and in the plant. The products are applied in one step with no primer.
