The 2-layer fire protection system PRODOFIX® HBB 19-3 delays the ignition of the wood and the spread of fire by forming a protective insulation layer. The fire protection system is classified in fire class B-s1, d0 according to DIN EN 13501. As a result, it is flame retardant, causes low smoke development and is approved for the coating of indoor woods such as spruce and pine with minimum thicknesses of > 8 mm and a bulk density of > 338 kg/m³. The primer can be used in combination with topcoats of most colors, as well as for the foundation of printed wooden panels, without compromising any of the fire retardant properties.
