Chemicals and solutions for the wood industry
TIB Chemicals offers a wide range of high-quality chemicals specifically developed to meet the demands of the wood industry. Our products support processing companies in manufacturing durable and safe wood products. Our fire protection coatings, PRODOFIX® HBB 19-3 Topcoat and PRODOFIX® HBB 19-3 Primecoat, enhance the safety and longevity of wood, especially in the construction and furniture industries. Copper-based compounds like copper(II) hydroxide and copper(II) oxide effectively protect wood from pests and decay, extending the lifespan of the products. Solutions such as ammonium bisulfite and sodium bisulfite are essential for the chemical treatment of wood, bleaching it and preparing it for further processing. Zinc compounds like zinc acetate serve as important catalysts and stabilizers, improving the properties of wood products. TIB Chemicals is a reliable partner to the wood industry, optimizing production processes and enhancing product quality with its chemicals and technical expertise. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, we continuously develop new solutions to meet our customers' requirements and ensure their success.
Fire-retardant coating for profile boards: PRODOFIX® HBB 19-3
The 2-layer PRODOFIX® HBB 19-3 fire protection system delays ignition of the wood and spreading of fire by forming a protective insulating layer. The fire protection system is classified as fire class B-s1, d0 according to DIN EN 13501. This makes it flame-retardant, causes low smoke emission and meets the requirements for coating interior woods such as spruce and pine with minimum thicknesses of > 8 mm and a bulk density of > 338 kg/m³.
Efficient fire protection and decorative surfaces with PRODOFIX® HBB 19-3
The PRODOFIX® HBB 19-3 system gives you more freedom for high-quality interior design. Additionally, the fire-resistant coating gives you an invaluable sense of security.
The PRODOFIX® HBB 19-3 system is applied in two layers. To do this, first apply the HBB 19-3 Primecoat WB-I coating directly onto the wood substrate at approx. 260 g/m². Allow it to dry briefly. Then apply the top coat HBB 19-3 Topcoat WB-I at approx. 80 g/m².
In the event of a fire, the coating forms a foam layer with an insulating effect, which slows down ignition and reduces the development of smoke. This facilitates evacuation and rescue efforts.
